FAQ...
Q: Will it void my warranty?
A: No, but in any case IHS has a $5 million liability insurance policy per occurrence.
Q: Does it interfere with the engine management system?
A: No, the only connections are two wires to the battery, one to the alternator, and one ¼” tap into the air intake.
Q: Does the driver have to monitor the device?
A: No, the only regular maintenance is filling the distilled water reservoir every as required.
Q:
What happens if the device stops working?
A:
Nothing will happen to the vehicle if the device stops working. The truck will revert back to normal operations and will not receive the benefits of the device.
Q: Is it reliable?
A:
Yes, components are very robust and assembly is managed by Salem Preferred Partners (SPP), an ISO 9001 assembler of heavy truck components to Class 8 trucks manufacturers.
Q: How do I know that it works?
A:
We have independent third party verifications and testimonials from satisfied users with real results.
Q: How much is the draw on a vehicle's alternator?
A: The i-phi™ draws approxiamately 22 amps from the vehicle's alternator. This equates to approximately the energy used to run your headlights. This draw is low compared to the 240amp standard alternator charging capacity typical of HGVs.
Q: Isn't hydrogen an explosive gas? How can it be safe?
A: The i-phi™ injects incremental amounts of hydrogen into a vehicle, which by the properties of hydrogen, do not make it possible to detonate. Furthermore, the unit never stores hydrogen nor put it under pressure at any time, which are the two main concerns with using hydrogen.
